Yay for almost school time! Office Depot & Staples have storage on sale every week lately and they advertise it as dorm and office storage. Gotta love it!
First at Staples, slightly different from last week, they have the 5-drawer and 6-drawer organizers on sale for $14.99 (originally $29.99). I can totally vouch for the quality of these. I have a 5-drawer one that I've had for ages and it has moved houses twice and still hasn't broken (which is more than I can say for my ombre Home Depot 10-drawer ones). Totally worth it. The deal is only good in-store.
The 5-drawer cart is great because the bottom drawer is a great size for hair tools, fragrances, and other taller bottle products. Meanwhile, the 6 drawer simply put, holds a ton.
And once again the 10-drawer Real Space organizer is on sale at Office Depot this week for $39.99 if you missed out on it last week. It's nice, but is not sturdy. One of my drawers already has a gauge in it from one of the metal runners. It still functions but I'm worried it will eventually tear off and become unusable. If you still want it and like the opaque-ness of it (which is what drew it to me in the first place), it is pretty heavily discounted as well.

Cheap Makeup Storage This Week Only!
Back to school time is always good for makeup storage, especially cheaper options. I was perusing the Sunday paper and noticed a couple deals this week that could easily double as makeup storage. First up is the 4 drawer cart at Staples above. Originally $29.99, this week the carts are only $9.99 in store! And at the front of the add, there's a $5 off $25 or more purchase. That's quite a significant savings.
And the old standby in many a makeup collection video is this Real Space 10 drawer cart. This week at Office Depot the cart has been reduced by $20 to $39.99.
These sale prices are good through July 30th and may depend on your local ad. Either way, the school supply buying season is a great time to look out for good deals when it comes to makeup storage (or really any organization).

Office Depot Deal (good only Jan 14/15)
I tweeted about this deal already but since I found a proper link so that everyone can print this coupon I thought I would share. As you know, I've been at a loss for makeup storage and even though I knew the 10 drawer carts aren't built well, I still thought it would be easier to get a hold of and put them together than any of the IKEA cabinets. Knowing that they were expensive, the last thing I wanted to do was spend $60 or more dollars on plastic that I knew wouldn't last long.
This deal is only good today and tomorrow, but if you have an Office Depot store near by, print this coupon and you'll be able to get this storage cart for $36. This deal is only good in store and only till tomorrow, January 15th so act fast if you've been wanting a cheap(er) makeup storage solution!
Edit: I would not recommend this for nail polish. I'm not sure the bottles would fit and the drawers are far too flimsy to deal with the excessive weight.

JT Wants
Storage!
My collection is a disaster. I never quite unpacked it and there is stuff all over the freaking place. I do my makeup in my bathroom (bad I know) which is down the hall from the room that I want to store it since there's no proper room in our bedroom and we still haven't even bought a dresser yet (and I want to redo the closet)... anyway.... wahh!
The IKEA Malm? $149 but likely hard to put together.
Something less sturdy, cheaper and easier to put together (and hopefully not as... ahem... colorful?)
$145 at Target but can be gotten more cheaply elsewhere but likely to fall apart after not too long (I'd probably get the 10 bin one which thankfully comes in "smoke" aka gray).
Sterilite bins? Can be gotten everywhere and pretty cheap. Might not last very long. Also, so ugly and utilitarian. Sigh.
If only I weren't indecisive and if only I didn't want something that both looked good and didn't break the bank.
How do you store your makeup?
