Sephora VIB NARS Set

If you're a VIB you should have received an e-mail today from Sephora indicating you could get this trio of NARS deluxe size samples for free with any $35 or more purchase. This is good in stores and online, code is VIBNARS but it will only work if you are a very important beauty insider.

Included is the following:
Bronzing Powder in Laguna (0.08 oz)
Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base (0.09 oz)
and Illuminator in your choice of Orgasm or Copacabana (0.29 oz)

These are really good size samples, the bronzer is the size of a NARS eyeshadow (the full size Laguna is .28oz at $34), for reference the full size pro-prime is .26oz at $24 and the illuminators are 1.1oz and $30. I've been wanting to try Laguna and the Pro-Prime but didn't want to spring for the full sizes as I wear bronzer very rarely and am happy with my current eye primer.

Sephora Haul

My Sephora Friends & Family order arrived in the mail yesterday and I thought I'd show you what I picked up for myself. There were a few other things in my package for others (a CP and some gifts). I feel as though I did pretty well, definitely stayed under budget. I guess the one time use code isn't so bad after all if it makes me spend less money!

I bought a nice big bottle of the MUFE Sens'Eyes Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser which as you know from me going on about it is awesome, the Fresh Mini Sugar Kissing Trio, the Tarte Lip Service Collection and the 2 NARS nail polishes that are on sale for $8 (Pokerface & Bad Influence). Not to be forgotten is the massive 12oz bottle of the Philosophy Purity 100-point perk.

NARS Eyeshadow Steals - $8 at Sephora!

I was procrastinating from doing homework and surfing on the Sephora website and found this awesome deal. Granted, these are not my colors and I won't be ordering, but if you are warm toned, have green or hazel eyes or generally look good in coppery shades, I would definitely at least pick up California - $8 for a NARS single can't be beat!

You can also get Night Sun for $8 but from looking at the reviews on the site so far, it doesn't look like a shade many would like- still, if you've been tempted to try some NARS, here's your chance at drugstore prices!

Since I'm not up to much this weekend, I've been surfing the internet finding way more stuff than I can afford to put on my wishlist, including a ton of new arrivals at Sephora and of course the MAC In The Grove collection.

VIB Haul

My VIB "gift card" haul arrived!  If you've been keeping up with me on twitter, you should know by now that I have a sinus infection so sorry for the lack of recent posts!

Anyway, here's the loot:

NARS Silent Night eyeshadow (special $9, regularly $22)

I'd heard on the makeup board that this was not very pigmented. I think my swatch shows otherwise. My guess is on the eyes this is a very nice pearly gold sheen, which is a great my lids but better look, especially applied with a fluffy brush. To get maximum payoff, you'll probably need a sponge tip applicator.

Next up, Benefit Lust Duster trios. Guys, this is an amazing deal! If you even barely like loose eye shadows, get these!  These are $18 each on the Benefit site and $10 for 3 on Sephora.com - that sounds like a no brainer to me. Plus, they come in little gold mesh baggies which are great if you are giving them as a gift. Personally, I am keeping them for myself. I'm selfish like that.

 

Aren't they pretty? I grabbed some other stuff, but I might be gifting the rest. If not, I'll be sure to swatch and post my thoughts.


I want to wish all of my Jewish followers a very Happy Hanukah! DH and I are celebrating tomorrow with my parents. I bet I will return home 3 pounds heavier with all the latkes and brisket! Cham Sameach*!
