Want To Be On My Blogroll? (promote your blog, no strings)

Every few months, I try to check out my blogroll to see if there is anyone to remove or add, but with the enormous influx of beauty bloggers since I started back in 2009 (holy !@#$ has it been that long?!), I am not exactly aware of everyone and I've found that although the larger, more professional blogs get a lot of traffic, some of the newbies are lacking. So... if you've been blogging for 3 months or more and feel you stay ethical, please leave your link in the comments. I will take a look at your blog and if I like it and want to promote it, I will add it to my blogroll! Also, uh guys, no one has entered by Butter London giveaway, and you're technically required to do nothing to enter... so it's here if you are interested! Let me know if you run into any technical difficulties and I'll switch from the widget to something more user friendly, like a google docs survey; assuming they haven't removed it when they did the google+ overhaul.

Link Loves: Bring These Bloggers Back! (#2)

I thought I would do this week's link love a little different. This "episode" is themed "Bring These Bloggers Back". There are so many great bloggers in the big blogging sea but today I'm going to reference some bloggers that stopped posting or haven't in awhile. Maybe if I get them enough traffic they would consider coming back. Even though they've stopped posting, their blogs are still a wealth of information and entertainment.

The Pink Train Case
The Gloss Goss
A Beautyful Sentiment
New York City Pretty

Do you have any favorites that recently left the fold?

Next week we'll be back to current bloggers so stay tuned.

Link Loves, After: My First Foray (aka #1)

I just got back from another lovely facial at Serenity Zone Med Spa and now I'm going to write yet another paper. No reason to delay pampering due to something silly like, oh I don't know, not failing my graduate school class! You know I'm mostly joking, but my husband has promised a Harry Potter and lunch "date" tomorrow if I finish it by tonight so I better start cracking.

But before I do, I wanted to do my first "personalized" link love.

I've thought about this for some time. Even though the survey indicated that link loves have more positive than negative thoughts, the survey had less than 50 respondents and there are over 600 of you! Nevertheless, I've decided to dip my toes in the personalized link love waters. So every weekend, I'm going to share my favorite posts from around the blog-o-sphere or bloggers I think you should read in general.

Cosmeddicted shares her pointers for completing a Project 10 Pan and also a staggering 20 products that she has recently used up! And she's starting another one soon according to the post (a bit crazy don't you think - though in a good way). Kudos to her, I don't have the patience to do something like that.

Olivia is the queen of reviews. One afternoon years ago I think I read practically every review she had posted on makeupalley and now her beauty blog is filled to the brim with even more information. I also admit that I still feel kind of lucky that we correspond on twitter, she's a bit of a makeupalley celebrity to me.

One of my all time favorite beauty bloggers (Nouveau Cheap) has been running this really cool series called "From The Vintage Vault" where she talks about some older makeup. Definitely brings back memories for me!

Elvira is the biggest lemming creator ever. Thankfully she is very honest (so if she likes something, I know it will be good). Honest is the nicest description I could use, Elvira! Anyway, the latest item is the Bosica Makeup Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil. Read the review and you'll want it too. Hey, I rhyme!

I want Sleek Pout Paints even more after reading this post from Le Petit Jardin De Liloo (aka tsunimee). I wish Superdrug would come to the US!

Are 5 blogs enough to keep you all occupied while I write my paper? One can only hope.

This was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Mental note to copy and paste links of posts I want to feature throughout the week so I don't have to remember where I saw something or when it was posted. I am really forgetful.

Feel free to leave some great bloggers or blog posts you read this week (excluding your own). Procrastination is not a crime, I swear.
