Don't Forget To Moisturize This Summer!

Around this time last week I noticed that the skin around my cuticles was getting rough and flaky and that sometimes my skin felt tighter and uncomfortable (I also noticed I was breaking out more). So many people say they tend to not moisturize so heavily during the warmer months. It's true, when you're sweaty, no one wants to rub grease over their skin, but moisturizing the skin in the summer is just as (if not more) important than the winter months.

During the summer/spring you are exposed to more elements. You may wear less clothing and spend more time out in the sun. You may spend many an afternoon in the pool, or dare I say it, sun bathing. It's not just outside though: if you run your air conditioning (which acts as a dehumidifier) you are dealing with the same dry air you dealt with in the winter. And personally, I tend to take quite a few more showers or baths in the summer so that's one extra time you are using water that may take away your skin's natural oils.

I'm not perfect, it didn't dawn on me till recently why my skin felt bone dry even if it wasn't cold and windy outside. It's so easy to forget that my skin in particular is very sensitive to its surroundings and just like needing some water to drink after standing out in the sun all day, my skin is thirsty too.

The layout looks fine. :)

At my age, I never forget to moisturize! My face feels terribly tight if I don't.

I don't know, I always always moisturize no matter what. I use Cetaphil morning moisturizer and it is so light weight and it really is moisturizing too.
