NOTD: Essie St. Barths Blue

St. Barths Blue is blue with a slight shimmer in the bottle but the shimmer disappears once you apply on the nails. It is a very light almost gray blue. I really like the small brush in Essie polishes but the formula was awful. Super thin and streaky. I'm not sure exactly how many coats this is, but I know I stopped counting at 3-4. Since the only way of getting it to look decent was fairly thick coats, I have a feeling this manicure won't last very long. I do adore the color, though. I found it for 60% off and I'm glad I didn't pay full price.

It looks like a color that I would like to put on my hands, but the formula sounds awful and in my opinion, if 4 coats doesn't do the job, it's probably not worth it. But thanks for the review!

@sunniipinky: Yeah, the color is gorgeous but I'm not thrilled with the formula. I used a regular quick dry top coat. I'm going to try it with SV to see if that changes anything.
